Spent the afternoon at one of our friend’s house who graciously invited us over for lunch today. His wife made an assortment of dishes which were all really yummy! The one pictured here (which I wish I had used a smaller aperture) is a signature Pakistani/Indian dish called chicken biryani (pronounced "bur – ee – yah – ni"). It looks like a simple rice and chicken dish, but there are many hours of work that go into making such a slow-cooked dish! We had a wonderful afternoon talking and playing with their kids. This friend is also the one who owns Woven Colors, selling handmade Persian rugs, which I previously wrote about.
